Chrysler Arts, Beats & Eats is back and proving you dont have to go far for great family fun on Labor Day Weekend!  For the eleventh year, the festival will offer more than 200 performances on eight stages, the top ranked HealthPlus Juried Fine Arts Show, local restaurants with some of the finest cuisine in metro Detroit and international, regional and local attractions that will continue to make the city of Pontiac the premier destination for Labor Day weekend, August 29-September 1, 2008.

ITC GREENWAYS
 - Recycle and Bicycle!

While everyone is trying to Go Green these days, weve teamed-up with ITC Holdings and put together many meaningful Green Ways that our festival will make a difference this year.  Well start at the beginning with how youll actually get to the festival by promoting alternative means of transportation such as the SMART Bus System or even taking your bicycle. Then well continue with truly special efforts on recycling, a reduction in event programs, a donation of 30 festival exhibits to environmentally conscious non-profits, mandating all vendors using biodegradable cups, plates and utensils, having all arts and crafts be made with recycled materials, and many more!

BLOGIN CAFÉ
- If You Dont Like It- Tell Us!

Youve heard of a penny for your thoughts- well how about a dollar! Chrysler Arts, Beats & Eats announces the Blogin Cafe, equipped with 50 computer stations to share your thoughts on an array of subjects. People who blog at the event will be given a $1 worth of Chrysler Arts, Beats & Eats food and beverage tickets. Special Guest Celebrity bloggers will be on hand to provide insights into Politics, Sports, The Festival, Entertainment, and other subjects. Prizes will be awarded for most insightful blog as judged by a special panel.

GUITAR HERO CHAMPIONSHIPS
 - Do you have what it takes?

Attention all Guitar Hero fans ages 6 and up- do you have what it takes to be a Guitar Hero Champion?!  Visit the Crofoot on the Chrysler Arts, Beats & Eats site for the Guitar Hero Championship. 

CHRYSLER FREEDOM FEST
A Small Thank You to Our Heroes

In a show of support for our troops the Chrysler Freedom Fest will serve breakfast to Michigan National Guardsmen who have served a tour of duty in Iraq, and their families on Saturday, Sunday and Monday mornings during the festival weekend. Additionally, the service men and women will receive free parking, carnival rides, childrens arts & crafts and VIP seating at concerts. Approximately 4,500 soldiers and their families are expected to take advantage of the complimentary offerings.

Additional new activities include the Million Dollar Madness Stage Giveaway and Great Lakes Sensations Exhibit.  Million Dollar Madness Stage Giveaway is Michigan Lotterys exciting new scratch off lottery ticket with chances to win $1 million. As part of the promotion, Chrysler Arts, Beats & Eats will be giving away a minimum of 500 - $10 tickets throughout all weekend at the Million Dollar Madness Stage, (formerly the National Stage) giving concert attendees a chance to win $1 million. The Million Dollar madness tickets will officially go on sale starting September 1, 2008. 

Another new exciting addition will be the Great Lakes Sensations exhibit.  This very interactive exhibit will feature dozens of colorful displays highlighting tourism attractions from around the Great Lakes.  Exhibits include some of Michigan's most popular resorts, well known golf courses, fantastic boat displays, skiing attractions and much more.
