2023 Pensole Lewis Mural by Micah Shumake
Farm to Table Mural Presented by Kroger
Kroger is proud to return to Michigan Lottery Arts, Beats & Eats with an experience that brings together three core values: food, art and community. This year’s interactive paint-by-numbers mural project invites festivalgoers of all ages to join in creating one of the largest collaborative mural installations ever presented at the event.
Designed to be inclusive and family-friendly, the project offers a space for creativity and collaboration across generations. Participants will help complete two large-scale murals illustrating the journey of food from farm to table, beginning with scenes of vibrant fields and harvest and continuing to families preparing and enjoying fresh meals together.
The murals will be painted live on Saturday, Aug. 30 and Sunday, Aug. 31, with all supplies provided by Kroger, including brushes, numbered paint cups and support staff. Artists of all experience levels are welcome.
More than just a fun activity, the mural is a reflection of Kroger’s mission to feed the human spirit by creating spaces where people can connect, contribute and be part of something bigger. Following the festival, the lead artist will complete finishing touches before the murals are installed as permanent public art that celebrates community, creativity and the shared values that bring people together.
